A dozen or so little fillies and colts sat at the edge of a lawn, their eyes glued to the stage, waiting for the Great and Powerful Trixie to come out. The kids wore party hats and held aloft balloons, all saying "Happy Birthday Wind Whistler" in big letters.

Then, in a poof of smoke, Trixie appeared before them, fireworks blazing in every which direction. The kids cheered, yelling out her name in admiration.

"Fillies and Gentlecolts" said Trixie, her voice magically booming. "I present to you the most amazing and powerful unicorn in all of Equestria… Me!"

The kids roared with excitement. Trixie scanned the audience with her eyes, and spots the birthday girl, sitting in a large chair in front of a gigantic cake bigger than Trixie. She points her hoof at the filly.

"So what will it be for the birthday girl?" said Trixie, a grin spreading across her face, "Have a favorite magic trick? What would you have the most powerful pony in all Equestria to do?"

"I would like to hear one of your stories." Calmly requested Wind Whistler.

Trixie cringed. Ever since she started storytelling to make up the difference, it's all everyone asked of her. She looked up at Wind Whistler's father who glared at her with a stern look.

"Well, what story do you want to hear?" Trixie said, her arrogant demeanor slowly breaking down, "Fluttershy vs. the Dragon, Swarm of the Century…"

"Twilight vs the Ursa Minor" said Wind Whistler, "Please."

The kids start chanting in unison, "Twilight, Twilight, Twilight!" Trixie looks up at the father again, still staring back at her with a stern look. She swallows her pride, fighting back the tears as her magic illuminates her greatest enemy in lights above her head.
Trixie can't even put on a performance anymore without being reminded of her defeat.

Hey brony! I recently heard this promoted on Bronyville's podcast and just now got around to checking it out. Great story! It's amazing what you've done here with just 300 words. :)
